Physical Conditions

Physical conditions and injuries are multi-faceted.

A fractured ankle to an individual who has to take time off work and find a way to care for children is more than just a sore ankle.

It is a stressor that can create a domino effect of negative health consequences.

Chronic conditions (such as those below) are typically multi-faceted and can be debilitating if left untreated. The body’s natural reaction to such conditions is to compensate for them – for example, by tightening opposing muscles.

These compensations can actually make the initial problem worse. We offer a variety of therapies to treat various conditions, without the use of drugs or invasive surgeries.

Some painful conditions requiring treatment may occur from injury or trauma and can range from mild to severe.

The injury can be caused by an outside force (auto accident, falling object, blunt force, etc.) Other conditions may be caused by physical exertion, sports, lifting, twisting, etc.

There is no need to live with the pain caused by these conditions when safe, effective health therapies are available to give you relief with:

  • Headache – neck
  • Back pain – spine
  • Shoulders, elbow & wrist
  • Knee and hip
  • Foot and ankle

Whether your condition is due to injury, repetitive stress or other factors, we can provide you with a combination of therapies to ease your pain, improve mobility and get you back to your pinnacle performance level.

The 3 Phases of Care:

Phase 1:

Relief Care: Is provided when a patient is in need of immediate relief of pain, discomfort and restricted mobility. The primary purpose is to reduce pain, swelling, and muscle spasms. Depending on your physical condition and other factors, a few or several visits over a relatively short period of time may be necessary.

Phase 2:

Corrective Care: Treats conditions that are more severe or reoccurring. These may require more complex treatment plans and longer period of care. Once you have reduced the pain through relief care, corrective care will restore normal function to your spine, muscles, supporting tissue and the nerves affected by them.

Phase 3:

Supportive or Maintenance Care: Will help you maintain the benefits you’ve attained from relief and corrective care. Chiropractors are trained to detect issues in their early stages – often before you notice them. Continuing to work with your chiropractor on a regular basis will keep you healthier and feeling better. We will work with you to find a maintenance schedule that suits your condition, health and lifestyle goals.

Regardless of the stage of care you are in, treatment from your chiropractor will often include exercise, diet, and healthy living suggestions to keep you healthy, resilient and strong. Get started today by making your appointment online or by phone with Pinnacle Performance Health.

Pregnancy Related Pain

Pregnancy TreatmentsDuring pregnancy your body produces hormones to relax your ligaments. But those hormones, combined with your growing belly, can leave you loose-limbed, sway-backed, and unusually clumsy, due to a rapidly lowering center of gravity. All of this can do quite a number on your spine.

Chiropractic care can help undo much of this damage and get your lower body in proper alignment for an easier birth. The chiropractor’s ability to realign and, in many cases, relax the ligaments and muscles in your pelvis has led to what is now known as the Webster Technique, a special method for treating pregnant women.

Potential benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy include:

  1. Relieving back, neck, rib or pelvic pain
  2. Maintaining a healthier pregnancy
  3. Controlling symptoms of headaches and nausea
  4. Reducing the time of labor and delivery
